Summary
PTS POI v6 security requirements are scheduled to be retired from use for new device approvals on Jun. 30, 2024; without modification, there would be no evaluations that result in a new approval number using these requirements after Jun. 30, 2024.
PCI will maintain a 12-mth overlap between major PTS security requirement versions.
Enable vendors to adjust product designs and to meet updated security requirements.
The exact expiration timing for both the PTS POI v6 security requirements and for PTS POI v6 approvals will be determined upon the actual publication date of PTS POI v7.
Effectiveness
PTS POI v6 security requirements extended by one year to Jun. 30, 2025.
PTS POI v6 approval expiry date will also be extended from Apr. 2030 to Apr. 2031.
