Bill Provisions
Requires health insurance carriers to follow specific timelines regarding health care provider applications for credentialing, carriers shall complete process within 60 days.
Health carrier to reimburse applicant for all covered reimbursable health care services provided after receiving a completed credentialing application from the applicant.
The Department of Insurance is required to promulgate rules providing for a uniform credentialing application that shall be used by applicants and health insurance carriers.
Dental insurance and vision insurance are exempt from using the uniform application.
Applies to applications for credentialing submitted to carriers on or after Jul. 1, 2025.
