On Mar. 17, RSA DP invited submission of PAIA annual reports.
RSA DP invited all public and private bodies to submit annual reports for the year 2024-2025 on access to information requests received and processed.
Reporting
Per section 32, section 83 (4), PAIA, an information officer of every public body must annually submit a report about access to information requests received and processed.
Heads of private bodies (HPBs) or deputy information officers (DIOs) asked to submit PAIA annual reports re requests for access received and processed by private body.
Public body IO and private body HPB / DIO must be registered with RSA DP to submit.
Purpose of report is to give an account of the number of requests for access received;
Also on access granted in full; access granted in terms of section 46 - mandatory disclosure in the public interest; access refused fully or partially; cases extended;
And internal appeals to relevant authority; number of internal appeals refused on grounds of internal appeal was regarded as having been dismissed.

Submission period opens on Apr. 1, 2025 and close on Jun. 30, 2025.
