  • After Jul. 1, 2024, there will no longer be a base salary to use as a basis for adjusting salary paid for social insurance, to calculate pensions and social insurance benefits.
  • Discussions centered on the proposed reference level instead of the base salary as a basis for adjusting social insurance salaries; reference level to be based on CPI increase, economic growth, and per capacity of state budget and social insurance fund.

  • On Jul. 7, 2024, VIE GVT announced that an increase in basic salaries and allowances would be implemented from Jul. 1, 2024, according to clause 1 article 6 of Decree 73.
