Provisions
Removed Idaho property owners may not be required to participate in rent programs.
Specifically, from optional federal assistance program or any other program or law that would regulate rent, fees, deposits charged for leasing private residential property.
This does not impair the right of any local governmental unit to manage and control residential property in which the local governmental unit has a property interest.
Also reorganizes the 2 sections of the Landlord Tenant code, placing all important laws affecting landlords and tenants at the top of IDA LEG 55, and only one to IDA LEG 6.
Finally, bill removed outdated concept of coverture from era of woman as property.
