Aims to clarify, resolve issues re inheritance of newly acquired real estate, conditions for survivors' pension eligibility, specifically for spouses whose married for over 1 year.
Overview of Proposal
Defines timing for recognizing newly acquired real estate through inheritance; provides criteria for assessing if real estate is newly acquired, using data from the TAI GVT.
Proposes adopting accumulation method to calculate marriage duration; aligns with constitutional principle of equality, favoring citizens by recognizing marriage duration.
Surviving spouse must be married to the deceased at the time of death to be qualified.

The consultation is open for 60 days after publication, i.e. until Dec. 23, 2024.
