IND NPC reminded re IND RBI circular of Dec. 2024, the per transaction limit for UPI LITE was increased to INR 1k, total limit at any point in time was raised to INR 25k.

Limits Enhancement
Replenishment of used limit will only be allowed in online mode with additional factor authentication; clients will have option to enable auto top-up for limit replenishment.
The revised limits will apply to all existing IND NPC circulars concerning UPI LITE.
For UPI LITE in online mode, per transaction limit was increased to INR 1k, total balance limit is INR 25k; for UPI LITE X (offline mode), there is no change in limits.
Effectiveness
The deadline for implementing these changes is Jun. 30, 2025.
