  • ITA INS issued Letter to Market regarding additional information companies must provide regarding complaints classified as accepted.
  • Follows ITA INS Jul. 2022 launched of new system to handle complaints, see #143868.
  • Overview
  • For insurance companies with registered offices in Italy, insurers with registered office in EEA state operating in Italy under establishment/freedom to provide services rules.
  • Also representatives in Italy of insurers with registered office in non-EEA countries.
  • Reference is made to, follows letters to market of Oct. 30, 2013, Dec. 3, 2018 and Jul. 20, 2022 with which instructions were provided on procedures to follow to send responses to ITA INS requests in context of complaints management Reg 24/2008.
  • From Jul. 1, 2025, responses and, only in case in which company classified complaint as accepted, must be accompanied by .xml file, compiled per technical specifications indicated in attached document (annex 1).
  • To facilitate compilation, an example of a specific .xml is also attached (annex 2).
  • The text of response must also include phrase: complaint classified as accepted.
