Bill Provisions
Debts or property of a decedent to be released to heirs with an affidavit if the Wyoming property is valued at $400,000 or less after liens, increased from $200,000.
The estate value threshold for summary distribution was previously $200,000 but has now been increased to $400,000 of value after exclusion of liens and encumbrances.
Estate value threshold for dispensing with probate for nonresident estates was previously $200,000 but has now increased to $400,000 after liens, encumbrances.
A written irrevocable disclaimer is valid even if it doesn’t meet tax qualifications, as long as the disclaiming party acknowledges this in writing at or before the disclaimer.
